Some things only happen once.

A fundraiser at six in the morning. A treatment milestone. A med spa that only closes for lunch. You can't reshoot any of it, and you can't ask it to come to a studio. So we bring the studio to it.

Why it's hard

A room you don't control.

01

The sound is the job

Anyone can point a camera at an event. Usable audio in a loud room with no second take is the part most crews get wrong, and it's the part that decides whether the footage is worth anything.

02

You get one pass

No rehearsal, no reset. We plan coverage assuming something will go wrong, because at a live event something always does.

03

You're a guest

The event isn't for us. We work small, stay out of sightlines, and never make a participant feel like a subject when they're meant to be having a moment.

Four years of field days

Nearly all of the Life on Pause footage was captured somewhere we didn't control — therapeutic events, community programs, hospital spaces mid-shift. That's a hundred small decisions a year about where to stand, when to roll, and when to put the camera down.

It's also why the series still cuts together four years in. Same crew, same audio chain, same instincts about what not to film.

And when it isn't local

We travel to San Francisco quarterly for The Skin Report — roughly four days of filming per trip, capturing three to four months of content in one go. That only works if the schedule holds, because you don't fly back for pickups.

Travel shoots get planned as one production rather than a stack of separate bookings. It's cheaper per finished piece, and it's the only way a year of content cuts together looking like a year of content.

What we cover

Where this usually gets used.

Events and fundraisers

Multi-camera coverage plus interview pickups, cut fast enough to be useful while the event still matters.

Conferences and panels

Session capture, booth interviews, and podcast episodes recorded on the floor between sessions.

Field interviews

Subjects filmed where they actually are — a workshop, a farm, a hospital ward — because the setting does half the storytelling.

Commercial and B-roll days

Facility footage, process shots, and the library that keeps your marketing team from buying stock.

How it's priced

Shoot days and travel days, stated up front.

Shoot days

A full production day on location, crewed and equipped. Half-days are available locally.

Travel days

Billed separately and at a lower rate than shoot days, so a distant location doesn't quietly double the quote.

Post-production

Quoted per finished piece rather than per hour, so you know the number before we start cutting.

Multi-leg projects are quoted as a season rather than a stack of separate shoots — it's cheaper for you and it's the only way the footage cuts together properly.

Let's talk

Tell us what you're trying to say.

Thirty minutes, no deck. We'll tell you honestly whether we're the right shop for it — including when one strong shoot day would beat the three you were planning.
